Pictures from the landslide including the knots I tied! (Jessica Dally on Flickr)
Hey claidheamdanns, sounds like a good time! Frankly I enjoyed it as it meant a lot less campers. The only slightly stressful part is that we all knew that in the past a landslide had been big enough that they'd had to helicopter out folks and they couldn't get back to get their rigs for over a month. Wasn't excited to think about leaving my vehicle but other than that it was a very peaceful trip!

This reminds me of a weekend a friend I were camping at a remote area in Mt. Rainier National Park, and they decided that that weekend was a good weekend to work on the only access bridge (across a ravine) for that area. We had planned on spending the whole weekend there anyway, but it was kind of freaky knowing that we couldn't get out if we wanted/needed to.
This was long before I had an iPhone, or even a cellphone for that matter.
