    audioBoom This is a great application for quickly posting geo-tagged images with audio. Ideal for field trips!
  2. WordPress
    WordPress People learn to write better when they write more frequently, and often when they write for an interested audience! This Wordpress app can be used on classroom team blogs by students as well as teachers, who have different access/publishing rights.
  3. Evernote - capture notes and sync across all devices. Stay organized.

  4. Pano
    Pano Learning can and should be documented with lots of images. Pano lets you create "stitched" panoramic photos using multiple shots.
  5. Google app — Search made just for mobile
    Google app — Search made just for mobile Google's tools for writing and collaboration, like Google Docs, are ideal for students and teachers. This app provides mobile access to your Google-verse.
  6. NASA App
    NASA App NASA has a lot of rocket scientists working for them. Generally we don't get to hang out enough with these folks. This app can help.
  7. Read It Later Free
    Read It Later Free Sometimes Internet access is not available, but you still want to read/access web content. Read It Later can help.
  8. Stanza
    Stanza Stanza not only lets you read eBooks, it also has a desktop app you can use to create and sync your own.
  9. StoryKit
    StoryKit Create and share an electronic storybook. Helping learners become authors is a BIG deal. This app helps.
  10. Google Earth
    Google Earth GE can be great to help students make geographic connections to different topics and concepts in the curriculum.



I like and use an iPhone application called simply attendance. It allows quick attendance taking and produces spredsheets in csv format. It has helped me get down to business more quickly in my classes.

Wow thanks for such a great list here. I love education apps but I have never thought that there are so many of them on iPhone! I will definitely download and try them all. But you know what I am missing? I would really like to see
online career aptitude test on iPhone or iPod too. I hope it will be implemented on these gadgets soon too. Thanks one more time and keep posting those lists in the future too.

Using iPod touch and iPhone for getting education is really a nice idea. I really love these apps as I always prefer online education programs instead of traditional one and by these apps it will be convenient and feasible for every one to get quality education.
