Best Free Vancouver Olympics Apps  by durgadas

durgadas says: I made this list for the person who wants to know what's happening, might be from the US or Canada visiting Vancouver for the Olympics. I live near there, but it's a ferry ride away, so I don't know everywhere, and these apps looked great to learn Vancouver.
durgadas's picks
  1. CTVOlympics.ca
CTVOlympics.ca This site is a great Canadian news site for what's happening at the Olympics and the run-up to them.
  2. Whistler 3D - Blackcomb GPS Ski & Snowboard & Hiking Vancouver Olympics Trail Maps
Whistler 3D - Blackcomb GPS Ski & Snowboard & Hiking Vancouver Olympics Trail Maps If you already have Accuterra, you can download this map inside the GPS you already have, but they were nice enough to give you a full map of the areas you will be walking around a lot. Honorable Mention: SeeWhistler app.
  3. Vancouver Travel Guide - The Sights
Vancouver Travel Guide - The Sights This app is great for seeing the other parts of Vancouver- in particular the BC Sports Hall of Fame, where many Olympians (including my bronze medalist partner Pamela Leila Rai) are enshrined.
  4. NBC Olympics on AT&T
NBC Olympics on AT&T Great coverage of the U.S. effort to the Winter Games.
  5. Vancouver - Best Tourism Video Guide
Vancouver - Best Tourism Video Guide A great accompaniment to The Sights app, this high quality video app has walks, attractions and much more for the visiting Olympic traveler, made by the Vancouver Tourism Board.

Great list durgadas. However, you forgot an important one. The iTriage app just added the British Columbia healthcare providers on its app so that Olympic spectators outside of the US could navigate the Canadian healthcare system while there. Check it out: www.iTriageHealth.com
