Decent iPhone Role-Playing Games  by HunterZ

HunterZ says: I gravitate towards Western RPGs because I can't stand the cliches, cuteness/triteness, disjointed plots and large amounts of inane dialogue in many JRPGs that obliterate any chance of immersion.
HunterZ's picks
  1. Dungeon Hunter
Dungeon Hunter Diablo-inspired action RPG. Plot is not too over-the-top and gameplay isn't too tedious.
  2. POWDER
POWDER Played this roguelike on the Gameboy Advance before I got my iPod Touch 2. Unfortunately I haven't played it much lately because the iPhone port is still a bit rough around the edges, but the author is very responsive to emails and plans to keep working on it.
  3. The Quest Gold
The Quest Gold Great turn-based 2.5D western exploration RPG in the vein of Wizardry/Bard's Tale/Might & Magic with some Elder Scrolls influence. Tons of content to explore.
  4. Rimelands: Hammer of Thor
Rimelands: Hammer of Thor Fresh setting and story and a nice soundtrack are keeping my eye on this new 3D turn-based western post-apocalyptic steampunk RPG.
