Love the book-loaning feature!

Not to be out done, Barnes and Noble released the NOOK app for the iPhone/iPad as well. The cherry on this sundae is that NOOK users can loan books to friends for two weeks. During that time, the original book will be unavailable to the owner, but when the time period is up, the book will revert back to its owner. I love being able to share books with friends, so this is a very convenient feature.

Hardly worth the download

Their support for this app is non existant, and its tough to figure out how to get it to read the book you've downloaded. If you do a search for help, you'll find tons of folks having issues with this app.

Where's the Book?

Good luck finding the book you're looking for in Nook. I don't care how popular it is you're likely not going to find it easily. More importantly if you do find it in a search you might not find it the next time you put in similar terms... I suspect there's monkeys just throwing out ideas each time. Basically key search words don’t come up often when you look for them but sometimes you can often find the results you’re looking for in other ways (author search, etc).

Unlike other readers the books you purchase don’t show up without refreshing your library so don’t freak if the book you bought isn’t there right away, just refresh.

Interestingly you're able to "lend" your ebook to someone which is pretty awesome and scores this app a few more points for me. Unfortunately as you scroll forward the app doesn’t tell you where you’re jumping to. That said it's easy to bookmark pages and do basic ereader functions. Assuming you can find the book you're looking for...

Falling In Love Again...

I will admit first and foremost that this review is a bit skewed. Just wanted to get it out of the way.
That being said, I love this app.

I have a Nook and I'm in love with it! I'm not going to say anything about any other e-book readers, but I do love my Nook.
One of the great things about this app is that it syncs your library with your physical Nook from your Barnes and Noble purchases. What! Yeah, that is the first thing that grabbed me and wouldn't let go. Everything I buy from B&N.com or through my Nook is also on my phone. It's great.

After using it for only a few days I still have to push it to its limits, but so far it is one of my favorite reading apps on my iphone.

It is clean, with a great interface and an adjustable text size. The only thing I would like in an update is a page turning animation.
