The Time is Now! by jessicadally
My boyfriend loves this book. Loves it. And like all things we love he’s been wanting to share it with me for quite some time, and by share it with me I mean he wants me to read it. I’m not against the idea, but like most readers it’s on the list and will, at some point, be at the front of the line. Now however, with this app I can push it up to the front without adding another heavy book to my bag (yes, I do still read those pesky paper versions). I know that reading on a kindle, iPad or in this case an iPhone has a ton of benefits but for those of you who aren’t aware, here are just some of the benefits, including some that I just discovered. Have a quote from a book you can’t find but want to share right now? Well with the power of digital you can search for the keywords and find that quote quickly. Or maybe there’s a section that was especially meaningful to you and you would like to read it again. No problem, not only can you search for it with keywords but you can also bookmark it (and title your bookmark so you remember as this app lets you have lots of bookmarks) and even write a note on the section, or, if so inclined take a voice memo. Best yet, you can also change the text color (I’ll try pink today thanks!) the font, the link color, set the background for night reading, align the text however you’d like, change the background color, the line spacing, the margin spacing, determine if the phone will go into landscape mode or not, change… well, you get the idea. Basically you can mess around with how this book looks until it suits you just perfectly. Extremely handy if you have tired eyes or weird lighting. I know that eventually I will probably give up my paper books, even though I’m not even close to ready yet. However I do especially love this application for a thought provoking book like this one where bookmarking key passages and taking notes is so very important. Why not have the books you love with you all the time? Read on!
