This app is awesome. Read books and stories from a community of writers around the world. Every genre is included. Recommend!
I think it should be called Wattpad: Ebook Community or even Free Ebook Community, because I think a lot of people get the wrong idea about the app if they are not familiar with the website or the content.
There are well known books, contrary to what some say, but they are from the Gutenberg Project (which is great by the way) and not from publishers. So it is not new or on demand, but they are there and the wonderful volunteers are getting more books out to you.
It also has great stories from the members of the community, but they should really sell that aspect, because I think it will draw more people to it than the idea of an app loaded with 100,000 free books, which it is not.
It is a very good app, with a great idea that just needs some tweaks and restructuring to give it a cleaner interface and diverse featured content to keep it from being dropped in a folder and forgotten. Maybe e-mail updates of new popular books?
It has iAds right on the bottom, but it is not so intrusive that it bothers me, but because of the way the app was structured, it does get in the way.
Either way, give it a try, with all the stories included there has to be at least a thousand you would like.
I use Wattpad all the time to read books. Many free books are available. The text can we resized for easier reading. Plus the color of the text and the background color can be change. This all makes it easy to read books, like Frank Herbert's Dune, on my Ipod Touch. Love it!!!
